Punk Lurex Ok + Grippers  /  Tickets

Melodic Finnish punk rock since 1993 Punk Lurex is a '77-style Finnish punk rock band with strong, catchy melodies and female vocals. The song lyrics criticize societal injustice and support such things as environmental and animal protection, tolerance, equality and an active civic participation. Punk Lurex has released one single, 8-song EP, five full length records and a co-ep with British Adverts-legend TV Smith. Punk Lurex and TV Smith have also been touring together several times in Finland and also in Russia. The latest LP "Uusi suunta" was released in 1st of November 2024. All the records have been published by Jukka Junttila and his small label Hiljaiset levyt. Some of them has been released also in Germany via TeenageRebelRecords.
Grippers was formed in 2014 in Madrid. After the release of the first album through the label Potencial Hardcore, Grippers travel to UK to play in Blackpool at #RebellionFestival two consecutive years (2017 and 2018) thanks to the Manchester label STP Records, which is interested in the group and releases some limited copies of the first work. The second album, Black Tears, comes out in 2020 with the problem of not being able to present it except for a concert with the band Kaos Urbano in Madrid. Grippers will present their new album, “Complicity is a Weapon”, released in vinyl format this 2024 by the label Potencial Hardcore.
