This brand-new band is ready to tour Europe with a very special line up: German trumpet wizzard Peter Protschka- well known for his intensive collaboration on the european parquet with tenor legend Rick Margitza in the last ten years- teams up for the first time with Australian trombone virtuoso Adrian Mears. They will celebrate a sound that recalls the legendary Woody Shaw Quintet with Steve Turre from the early 1980ies. The new program is designed for this rare frontline with trumpet and trombone. The high-caliber lineup will be completed by one of Scandinavia’s best piano trios which toured extensively with world class top-edge players like Jerry Bergonzi, Walt Weisskopf or Tim Hagans.
